The White Tiger, Aravind Adiga
This book illustrates the large difference in wealth as well as the corruption in India. It relates the story of an Indian boy from a poor rural area that goes up the ladder. The main character appears to be smart and naive at the same time. The author gave him very little knowledge of the world politics. The author chose the book to be the main character’s confession of a crime to the prime minister of China, nonetheless. Apart from that, the book is a very good read.
